YouTube data and privacy

This local application uses YouTube API Services. By using its YouTube features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

What the application accesses

After you authorize Google sign-in, Studio reads the selected channel's ID, title and handle. It uploads only a video you have reviewed and expressly authorized, with your selected title, description, audience and privacy settings. It reads the resulting video's identity, processing status, privacy and disclosure settings, and available view, like and comment counts. The requested Google scopes are YouTube upload and YouTube read-only. It does not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, payments, or Drive files.

Where data is stored and used

Channel details, upload jobs and statistics are stored in Studio's local data folder on your Windows PC. OAuth credentials and resumable upload addresses are encrypted using your Windows user's Data Protection API. Data is used to perform approved uploads, resume an interrupted upload without creating a duplicate, verify the result, and review performance. Original video files and your own marketing drafts are separate from data obtained through the YouTube API.

Approved video files, their metadata and authorization tokens are transmitted to Google and YouTube to provide these features. This YouTube connector does not send YouTube account data or statistics to an AI writing service or Telegram. Separate Pinterest, Threads and Facebook approval features may send the selected draft media and copy to your Telegram review chat; those are not enabled for YouTube by accepting this notice. Studio does not sell your YouTube data or use it for third-party advertising.

Retention and authorization checks

While Studio is running, it checks connected authorization daily, and removes cached YouTube data when authorization is confirmed invalid. Cached API data is refreshed or removed within 30 days. Failed requests do not count as a successful refresh. If the PC or Studio is stopped, maintenance cannot run; it resumes at startup, before the YouTube scheduler runs. Keep this in mind when storing a copy of the local data folder.

Disconnect and request deletion

Open Connection settings → YouTube → Disconnect and delete local YouTube data. This stops local YouTube reservations, removes the engine's stored channel details, job results, statistics and active credentials, and immediately requests Google authorization revocation. If Google is unavailable, an encrypted revocation credential is retained only for retries, for at most seven days while Studio runs. Studio shows pending or manual action required until revocation is confirmed. It does not report an unsuccessful request as completed.

Google revocation removes the user's OAuth permissions for this Google Cloud project, including other OAuth clients in the same project. You can also revoke access at any time using Google Account permissions. A locally recorded manual confirmation is identified as your confirmation, not a Google API response.

Disconnecting does not delete videos already on YouTube, original source videos, your own marketing copy, or other platforms' connections. Manage published videos in YouTube Studio. Studio keeps only a local notice that a marketing item had its YouTube job removed, so it will not automatically post it again. Copies you independently exported, screenshots and backups are not automatically found by the deletion button; delete those copies too, or contact the operator for assistance. Do not retain exported YouTube API data beyond the same retention limits.

Device access and security

The local UI reads files you select and media placed in the configured marketing inbox. Local requests that change data require a session key to protect against another website submitting actions. This page has no analytics or advertising cookies. Google authentication opens Google's own site and returns to a temporary loopback address on your PC. Google's sites may use their own cookies under their policies.
